Chainring hitting the frame

Just found an old racing bike.
Nothing special but i wish to use as a run around.
Now i realise that the chainring hits the frame.
Only hits a one point of ring.
What might this suggest?
Can it be fixed cheaply?

bent ring or bb axle.
The first can probably be fixed with a large adjustable. The latter will need replacing, about 15-25 for a replacement and fitting0 -
Probably a bent chainring or spider - probably due to a knock. Get a big adjustable spanner and try and bend it back into position. Bent BB? - most like a bent crank - you'd have to go some to bend a BB spindleMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
