Hi!
I'm looking to spend £400 - £600 on a new set of wheels for my Giant defy advanced 3, looked at the Easton EA90 SL, SLX etc, are there any others i should consider? User reveiws also welcome on wheels you use!

Have heard the EA90 is a good set. I bought Open Pro rims on Hope Pro 3 hubs custom wheels from GA Cycles here in Southampton for £300. Superb wheels for the money.0

Just bought some Campag Zondas, not ridden em yet but seen good reviews.
£330ish from ShinyBikes.com, or for a bit more you can get the two way fit ones0 -
IRD Cadence on Royce hubs, custom built. Great climbing set of wheels.
I take it these wheels are for 'best'?0 -

Yup Dura-ace or RS80s. 370gram claimed rim weight...Lil bit of flex in them, but probably useful on the roads in County Durham...Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0

I had Dura Ace 7850 carbon laminates.
Probably the best factory clincher under a grand in my opinion. However, I would now just use wheelsmith.co.uk and get some perfectly suited to me with easily replaceable parts.
You want pro bling? Get some Ambrosio rims on some PMP or Tune hubs and CX Ray spokes, garnish with vittoria open pave tyres and your in sturdy, light, reliable Paris-Roubaix heaven.
We are dead lucky in Blighty, look how much they get stung for the tubs on Record hubs in US!

I have EA90 SLX's, IMHO they're an excellent wheel, I couldn't possibly fault them...
I have a set of handbuilt Mavic Open Pro rims on 105/32h hubs for the winter, so far, so good...
I have to agree with others on here, and say that next time I want a set of wheels, I'll call Derek, too!Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0
