Anyone used them? seems to be a good buy for £399 and a weight of 1520g perfect for my Scott and are flying off the shelves since eurobike started stocking them.

Any reason not to get them??

make sure they are the real ones.
some were just cheap Taiwan wheels with the AC name on them, this was when the real ones were not imported to the UK.
    Otherwise they are ok.

  • My custom built Scott Spark 20 mate. American bike and American Wheels seem to be a good combo :D
  • I know a guy who runs them and says they're amazing.

yes they are the ones i was thinking of, i think they must have changed the colour's for 2010, because i seem to remember when they first came out that the rims were mainly white with red and black logo's.

still very nice wheels though 8) best get saving

  • They have 2 colours, Black for £399 and the White ones for £449. For 2010 they have an all tubeless Wheels and are lighter but not seen them yet.

If I was spending that money on a light wheelset I'd take the well proven DT240s that are on offer at Merlin. It will be worth e-mailing them to confirm the weight but I'd expect them to be close to the AC wheelsets weight.
I have a pair of 240's built into a 1500g wheelset & they are without doubt the best hubs I've ever had, made even better if you get the new 36 point star ratchet upgrade for £30 on import.
