hey
first time iv posted a topic on here.. so excuse me if im utterly terrible
Been riding with my brother alot recently, he rides a Iron Horse Sachem 3.0. We put the bike in the back of his car, along with mine, to check out Macclesfield Forrest the other day
Got driving for about 10 minutes and we heard a hissing noise, turned round and there was oil p!issing out all over the back of the car, coming from the rebound adjuster. So we changed are route, and went to the LBS
They told us that an O-ring had gone and took the bike in, as it was under warranty.
I was just wondering, what could of caused this? and how much would is it likely to cost if it wasn't on warranty?
Many thanks in advance

If just an O ring, about half a pence.0

will they need to send that back to the manufacturer then? cant they just do it themselves?

For a full strip and diagnosis. The shop wouldn't know until they open it up, and that is what the manufacturer is for. They may replace the whole assembly as standard, and will certainly put fresh oil in.0
