I am looking to buy a pair of dhb Merstons. I'm female but will probably get the men's as I don't really want padded (can only find padded in the women's). Can anyone let me know what size they have purchased and height/build? I am 5'6" and 59kg so not sure whether I would be a small or medium in the men's. Are there any women using the women's ones here? If so what size did you order? Thanks

I bought DHB bibshorts a while back...
I'm 5' 8", 76kgs. I checked the sizing chart on Wiggle and went with the Small, very marginal, I could have probably got away with the XSmall  Normally, I buy medium (Assos), so I thought I would be ok with the DHB in S!
Also, not impressed with the quality. The material seems very 'lightweight', very easy to snag the pad on the nose of the saddle when sitting down after a standing period.
I just use them on the turbo, now...

Thanks Hopper1. I didn't see a sizing chart when I looked. Looks like I might be ok with XS.

I am after the bibtights and they got 10/10 rating from a few magazines. I don't have Assos budget anymore  (kids!) and these were rated as being as good as anything twice the price (and hopefully they'll be better than the tights I currently have which have no airblock - I looked like I had a bad case of sunburn when I peeled them off today, my legs were bright red from the wet and cold (and then I jumped in a hot shower and the pain really started  !)

    Sell one!
My bibshorts were rated highly, too, and felt fine, until the Assos kit started rolloing in!
I'm now totally spoiled and have become very high maintenance, when it comes to my cycling kit.
I also have a pair of Pearl Izumi bibtights, they too, are superb and were about £70

I just got a pair of Merston bib-sights and wore them today for the first time. I'm 5' 11'', 12,st 34'' waist and they fit perfectly. Just to give you an idea of the size. I'm impressed by the quality.

Thank you. What size did you get?!
  • Ands. Sorry I am in the same situation sizing is hard so hope oyu dont mind me asking a Q on your thread. i am also lookin at these bibs . but i am 6.3, 34 waist, 34 inside leg and 85kg

@ a_n_t you mention the medium is the right size for you. Can you advise on the inside leg you are or these bibs. I dont like baggy fit but the large are 38in waist would be to big.

    Cheers Del

I'm 5'6" with a 31" inside leg. I got the Merstons in M but suspect S would've been a better fit. Happy with the quality and general toastiness.

They fit but are quite snug, I wear bibshorts over the top anyway. Length is fine as I wear over shoes with them, might possibly want a cm or two more if you like them quite long but no issue really.
