Why can’t you guys listen??
I posted recently on the training forum some excellent leading edge observations and training guides that would help you all. Was I thanked? No, instead I got confirmation about my theories relating to cycling being inward looking and stuck in the past.
I have many other sports i could help and if I’m not welcome here I may consider slinging my hook
So what do you all think of me?

I think you're hilarious.
Obviously experienced roadie racer, loved the comment about sitting on the front and dropping people with your power in road races
I like the piss take attitue you have, alas too many have taken the bait and actually see you as serious.

I feel it, when I sorrow most;

Than never to have loved at all."

I don't read the fraining threads - so I don't really care. If you ask on the original thread you may get some answers. Some of them may even be polite.
But at least I proved I listen.

Thank you for your comment, for the record all the training support provided to Cavendish has been confidential and is not referenced here. I believe the only comment you may have read was about Contador and his time trial position, something I am especially qualified to talk about.
Contador and Cavendish both have names that begin with C but need different training input.

I'd be interested in seeing the website, if it's cheaper than my subscription to Comedy Central then I'm sold!0

20/20.
I made some rather silly posts about you on the other thread, BUT if you'd come on here and introduced yourself and just offered your services it may have helped me and everyone else who thinks you are a fruit.
Instead we got a stream of lengthy posts about how good you are and how much better our riding and lives can be if we follow you.
Even your opening post here ..."I have many other sports i could help ", comes across as arrogant and self-righteous (even if YOU don't see it that way...).
Rethink your approach and you may get somewhere.....
Who are you, where are you from, what gives you the ability to come on here and throw your 'advice' around, where are your facts from etc etc.
Point as at some useful resources instead of coming across like the Tri-Messiah and you might get taken seriously.
Just my tuppence worth.....0 -

Ah, there we are, it was some kind of half-assed sales pitch.
There are many better and more effective ways of doing that. You've not done yourself any favours....0 -
I prefer cake to training, which is why I havent ever seen your advice in the training section. Did Cav ask you for your advice or did you just e mail it to him and then b1tch about him somewhere when he didnt follow your routine while collecting another wheelbarrow load of wins? IIRC he thanks every fecker under the Sun when he wins (and rightly so) whats your name so we can check to see if he feels that your input was that valuable to him?0

Some of the funniest posts on this site... part of me actually hopes you're serious.0

Jimmy - seriously now - I think the sarcasm filter on your computer must be turned on. Turn it off!!
You really take everything 20/20 takes to heart and are clearly missing the joke. (Needed a credit card JUST to see his website should have been your clue that he's winding you up).
If you insist on taking him seriously - it will only add fuel to the fire.
I can't believe I've actually just had to type this up and explain it. But there you go.0 -
Before you go, I hope you'll reveal yourself.

Sorry
To explain myself, I just couldn't see why someone would bother to bait this forum like this, so decided he had to be serious.
Serious(ly deluded), but serious nonetheless.
There are some friggin weirdos out there, that's for sure....0 -
excellent leading edge observations eh? Gotta get me some of those.0

It wasn't baiting as much as it was some light hearted humour.
Doesn't matter now as someone has had him banned. :twisted:0 -
The bikeradar forum for road/training is full of stupid ideas. I'm sure that anyone could go on there and promote reasonable stuff and quickly gain a following. But 20/20 didn't do this.
20/20 told us we were all idiots without exception and the real reason for this was that we weren't triathletes. 20/20 was a troll, it's as simple as that0 -
It was a laugh for a change, as it does get a bit serious around here sometimes0

A "funny" troll is still a troll
If they were amusing
Which is debatable0 -
20/20...I couldnt tell if you were being serious or having fun with some of your comments...perhaps add a winking emoticon if the latter....
...keep posting your thoughts unless you cant take the stick ....

Sweet mother of Jesus...I can't believe someone had him banned!
I can't believe the mods actually banned him for that matter. He was a star!
I can't see how he could have been more tongue in cheek, there has been a lot worse advice on the Training forum, posted in all seriousness. We should all be ashamed of ourselves.
I pray for 20/20 to rise phoenix-like to continue his invaluable boob tube and speedo biased advice.Complicating matters since 19650
