I'd guess it may be spam - potentially clicking on any of the links may 'confirm' your personal email address to be a 'valid' email address.

In Outlook Express, try right-clicking the message > Properties> Details Tab > Message Source, which may tell you more. :?

  • I don't think it has been activated because it's asking for email address confirmation - it's only enabled for the M$ live help community. If you think someone's messing you around, cancel the account

I clicked cancel in the end, it canceled it, weather or not it was an ok link I'm sure I'll find out, could have been a phishing attack.
  • Actually, that link I just copied and pasted is incorrect. If you're using the online gmail and not downloading it your mail client, open the ''show details'' at the top of the message to find out where it was sent from.

EDIT just read your update. Wise!

It's incorrect cause I deleted most of it.

You have not had any death threats, items stolen, been told to stop wasting a doctors time or been knocked off your bike.

To take such mundane and unimportant shite personally and react so extremely could actually reinforce the spotty bedroom dweller theory.........
  • Amen Bra.

I get loads of spam e-mails. I once got a virus on my computer. Did my thoughts immediately turn to the users of a forum, I also use? Nope, as they probably think about me about mas much as I think about them, and they're probably decent sorts anyway...

Far more likely to be one of those "gentlemens" sites, Will.

I have just having a bad day that's all, I've removed the comment now, I'm sure you've been in front of a keyboard on a bad day before. It can't reinforce the bedroom dweller theory since it's not true.

But it was me who kicked my door in when my flatmates locked me out, they probably think I'm a psycho now, don't know what came over me, they did annoy me and pulling my stuff about but nothing enough to make me break my door down.

I think you are in for a very big shock. If that is how you feel about insignificant cyber b0llocks and that is your reaction, your first week (or maybe even first days) work will send you into an uncontrollable mouth foaming frenzy. If you can get your CV sorted that is.....

Are you trying to provoke an argument?, Anyone can get annoyed with little things depending on the situation. For your information, my CV is sorted. And no, I'd know better in a workplace than to bouth off at the bosses.

You don't think I kicked a door in due to an attempt by someone to get hold of my email and msn?

    I'm a long-time lurker on these forums.

Can I just say: Will, keep up the good work. I wonder how many countless others like me (in addition to those who actually bait you in threads) quietly chuckle at you and your quite disastrous lack of a sense of humour/social skills.

Like I say, please keep it up - hilarious.

And if you don't mind so many people thinking you're a tool, great. But, for your own sake, it might be an idea to read through your posts and think how you might come across before clicking that 'submit' button. Just an idea.

Provoke an argument? Why do you say that? I'm telling it how it is.

I'm sure the door kicking was about something far worse than the trivialities mentioned in you original post. Why did you hoof the door through?!
