Respray/powercoat/anodising?

My Solid Mission 9 is currently garaged and, judging by the trail centres i'm hitting on the NS may stay so for the next couple of months. As such, i'm wanting to freshen it up ready for the spring and wonder what peoples views are on the best (and most cost efficient) route to take.
I fancy a pretty loud paint job but on the other hand, polished or perhaps black anodising also appeals. Any views?
Also, has anyone any recommendations in or around the Sheffield area?
Ta in advance.

There are plenty of powdercoaters who specialise in bikes on the web, Bob Jackson, Argos Racing etc. they can be pricey but you pay for their bike spraying expertise. You'd need to look in your Yellow pages for some one more local, who may be cheaper but maybe less experienced.
Try looking up electro platers in the YP regarding Anodisers.0 -
Go to WH Smiths and look in the back of Streetfighters magazine- it's a motorbike mag recognisable by having a bike that looks like it's just been crashed on the cover, generally with a nekkid woman draped over it. Don't look right at the back, it'll be w**k chatlines, just before that. Always full of coaters and electroplaters/anodisers, and there's nobody choosier over this stuff than motorbike modifiers.
If you want powdercoating and you don't mind posting, Triple S are the best I've ever come across, and they know bikes. Not cheap but also not expensive. Anodising might be a sod as fairly few places will have a sufficiently big tank, and the results can be inconsistent depending on the pipework. It's a lovely finish and very tough (it literally dyes the metal) but I'm not sure it's a good aftermarket option.Uncompromising extremist0 -
ive just had my frame powdercoated white, £40 inc strip, dust blasted and zinc primed, in staffs though and you have to blank holes up yourself.

Where in Staff's did you get that done? What steps did you take for preparation/blanking?
