Rack advice needed

My wife wants to put a rack on her mountainbike (old rigid Ridgeback). It is a 15" frame, as a result there are no fixing points for a 'standard' rack at the top of the seatstays. There is a full compliment of mounting eyelets located at the bottom of the seatstays near the dropouts.

Which racks should fit her frame? Or do I just need to purchase an extra fixing kit?

Are the i-beam style racks any good? Can they take a decent load or are they more of a lightweight solution?

Ta in advance

mike

The seatpost mounted racks are only suitable for light loads (up to around 10kg).

Either the seat post clamp above or an Old Man Mountain rack would be the best options. The OMM racks mount to the brake bosses and the axle. They are superb racks IME and I'd probably even use one on a bike with fixing points.
    More problems but still living....
