Perhaps you should get SPDs if you want more 'grip'? *engages flame shield*0

I would....but I just don't swing that way
Edit: better explain... I can't do SPD due to my knee. All that twisting0 -
I brought some of these a few weeks ago http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=19212 as CRC were out of stock of the long pins, I put them on my Gusset slim Jim's and they work well (ripped my bloody shin pads)It's not a ornament, so ride It0

I got the proper gusset ones which are pretty long tbh...but grippy
There the ones I were after, but CRC were doing there normal out of stock thing. It's not a ornament, so ride It0 -
Wow. Yeah, I wouldn't ride with those, but then I find the standard pins work on mine. Do you find you lack grip? Big pins are more for downhilling and mentalist freeriding.Uncompromising extremist0

I dont lack grip as such... just feel like a nit more would be nice when its greasy.
Went out for a quick ride last night and they're great... no more slippage!0 -

BlehSPD's man up!
I approve of the pins mate, remeber your knewe and shin combo pads witht hem on the trails hehe0 -
I am also not an SPD user due to a lower leg injury I suffered in 2008, I prefer to get off the pedals ASAP if need be. I don't need any additional Meccano in the limb.
Pain vs. grp? Both, although I find my DMRs don't hurt too much when they dig/rip into my calves or shins, they do draw blood though.0
