Rucsac repair

Had a large Karimor rucsac stolen during whilst in France this year, when I recovered it whoever had stolen it obviously couldn't use a zip and had cut it to get inside. It's a farily small cut, but I'd like to get it repaired rather than buy a new one.

Looking at the Karrimor website they have an approved repair company in Burley, but does anyone know somewhere more local to Oxfordshire where I might be able to get it fixed?

I've never repaired a saddle bag or rucksac but I think that Copydex and some strong cloth to put a patch under the slit would do the job.

It does sound like the sort of thing you could do yourself. Or you might find a shoe repairer who could do it.

On the other hand, although it's not local to Oxfordshire, I've just had a bag repaired by Scottish Mountain Gear and it came back better than new. They've also done various clothing repairs for me. Not cheap, but good value and I can't recommend them highly enough.
