hey all!
im new to the MTB scene and have recently purchased a Kona Shred 08 model, and so far im loving throwing it about in the woods on DJ's and around the street, there are a few annoying bugbears that i have developed, one being the grips, and the second being the gears, i was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advise on how to convert my bike to single speed, what parts to buy and where to get them (preferably online)???
my second query.....is it worth getting lock on grips? mine twist way to easily! loL!
oh and another one while im here, i love the maxxi hi rollers that come with it, but i want a tire that can roll faster on street and packed dirt..! preferably just as chunky!! LoL!
cheers everyone!!

I'm also thinking of converting my hardtail to singlespeed and a friend of mine put me onto this guy http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/charliethebikemonger/ he sells singlespeed kits with all you need to convert to single speed. As for lock on grips, if your grips are slipping on the bars then lock ons would be good.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0
