Any suggestions on the best ways to clean the chain and cassette after a muddy ride?

I always remove my chain (KMC) and place it in a container of degreaser. I find that it is easier to clean the cassette this way. I find that when the chain is cleaned when still attached any dirt that hasn't been fully removed ends up on the cassette and chainring.
  • Muc Off and a toothbrush (wouldn't advise using it afterwards to brush your teeth though)
  • Great stuff, cheers for the tips :)

I just blast mine with water after every ride then Bike Spray it.

Every now and again I use a Chain Doc and give the cassette a good scrub with a specific Muc Off brush - I usually get a year out of both then replace them at the same time.
