Been looking for this on Google and Cane Creeks site with no joy, mailed them direct and the guy came back with an IS-3 or 110-IS, neither of which 'look' right as far as i can tell.
It's on a stumpjumper expert '08
Can anyone help? The headset seems to have disappeared from the net and CC too !!

looks like a standard 1 1/8" headset.
Pics of your bike/headset.
have a read of the headset standards on parktools"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I have just replaced the headset on my 09 stumpy FSR as it started grinding.
When I looked at the bearings water had got to the outer race and rusted the numbers off
The only info I had off it was a Cane Creek Lanuse but could not find any information on the web site about the bearing size.
I replaced the headset with a Cane Creek S3

and now I know the bearing size if I need to change at a later date.

its a special model made for specalised, named after one of their designers or something. Other than that i cant help. Try pushing out your bearings and see if they have the size on the outside of them

seem like standard ACB 36 X 45 bearings with a 41mm OD"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I've just fitted new headset bearings on my 2008 stumpjumper FSR with the cane creek lanusse headset and they are ACB 36 x 45 degree 41mm OD and 6.5mm depth. cost 10.99 each but still cheaper than a new heaset plus £20 for fitting (unless you have the specialist tools required to do so. Hope this helps someone. these are the ones:

Hi Tony, sorry to be a pain, I'm looking for replacement bearings for a Lanusse headset in an 08 Enduro, and your suggestion loss like the best bet, but the old bearings have been lost by the shop who was trying to identify them. Did the beings from UK bike store fit ok? Thanks, Adam0
