Chain rust

Right, so I went out on the bike yesterday in the absolute pouring rain and didn't clean my bike when i got in because i was cold and wet!

So I went to clean the bike earlier and discovered that the chain suddenly has little bits of rust on it! Any idea where this has suddenly come from? The bike is now clean but i haven't relubed the chain yet as it is still wet

Any ideas?

leaving a chain wet will cause rust.

dry and lube it.

I get that from dew. As soon as you ride it will go away.
