Hey Paul
Ive always used a trusty pair of Vans or Airwalk skate shows from my BMX days, they work great with DMR's or similar
They have always survived the wash intact too which is a bonusOrange Crush 2010 avec DMR's0 -
I where a pair of big etnie skate shoes, they are good and grippy and offer plenty of protection, I also think you can buy them online for cheap (around £35) also check out the shimano flats they look awesome and get good write ups - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com//Mod ... elID=315370

I got vans for about £25 from tk maxx and found that they are good for flats and a big improvement over other shoes. But then I got a pair of shimano mp90 for £35 and they are better. Very grippy indeed but ugly as sin without a good coating of mud.

Neither are waterproof I use sealskins which make them a tighter fit so buy a comfortable size for winter.0
