I'm after a new frame that I will be racing on this summer, It will be my only bike so will be riden quite a bit.
Now i'm not that worried about weight but I want it to be super stiff and tough.
I'm thinking an alloy rather than carbon but I'm not sure who makes such a thing.
Oh and budget would be up to £700
any ideas?

Cannondale CAAD9 or Cervelo S1? Admit my advise is only from hearing other peoples thoughts/reviews, but they would seem to fit the bill for you.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

id suggest taking a look on the ribble website, you can find some right bargains on there its very good value for money. the websites below
www.ribblecycles.co.uk
the only downside is the can take a while when dlivering complete bikes, but as for frames it should only take a week.Ride hard, then get some rest, and go out and do it all again!0 -
Are you talking 700 for the frame alone or the complete bike? In either case you should be able to find a suitable one on one of the websites. I'm sure that at that price they will stand up to the rigors of racing. Be it carbon or whatever. This assumes, of course, that you don't jump curbs and things like that.
I might also offer this advise. If you're not a somewhat decent mechanic it might be to your benefit to buy from a bike shop as some of them tend(and possibly rightly so) to look
down on you when you bring your mail order bike in for work.
Good luck with your racing.0 -
canyon ultimate alu evo? (that said i just bought an S1 because the order time on the canyon module was march!)0

PX pro road titanium.

Back onto frames, I had a 2002 S-Works E5 alu frameset until we parted company after being hit by a car. If I could have got the same frame as a replacement I would have, it was so good to ride but I never found any in my size. That would get my recommnedation!!0 -
I work in a bike shop as a mechanic so I should be able to put it together
If I use one of the brand I can get hold of it will be cheaper but i'm finding it hard to find something alloy and with race geometr0 -
Why alloy if you can get the PX ti for just £99 more?0

Trust me, thats race set up.
Search on planet x titanium in here. It is based on the SL Pro carbon frame that is huge!
Get it. While the £799 lasts0 -
good god that nice.
As a mtber i've longed after a ti frame for years, this could be it0 -
It is a blimmin bargain, and well thought after ... lynskey welding.
I almost got one but went for a sabbath silk road pro, and you can get a good variety of ti and forks for about £1000 at fatbirdsdontfly.
Search here on planet x titanium (px ti maybe).
Check my thread on here about ti bikes, which is 50+ posts and on this page or the next, It covers the PX.
I have the PX carbon equivalent and its as racy as you can get! They do a sportive too, which is less racy.
Check the titanium thread!! The px ti is about 3 posts down and discussed all through it.
