Lucas no longer produce this spare part:
    Smokekit2.jpg

All of the smoke in my original one escaped after years of previous owners attempting to splice sections in.

the guy who taught me engine electrics used the analogy that electricity is like smoke, you need to keep it all in the wres and if it starts to come out, you need to fix it.

I'm just coming to the end of a 2 year contract using a HTC TyNII or whatever it's called - Mine's on O2, so it's called an XDA Stellar. No problems with either hardware or software (and yes, it is running Windows Mobile).

Hence why I'm suggesting getting the upgraded version...

You are not alone, apple have always made overpriced, under-spec'ed stuff. iphone doesn't even have HSDPA internets!

And they are cack at picking up wifi - which I use a lot.

Remem - an Overfinched 2004 model wouldn't be too awful.

I used to be a Geotec Engineer so got to rag modded 110s all over the place. Poor things lasted three years and 100k miles then usually died - after towing 3 tonne drilling rigs half their life.

Tried a new engined (from a Transit!) one for a day a while back - a 90 XS with almost "luxury" spec. Nice but still very basic (draughty doors, very noisy, only 120bhp) for not far off £30k.

ive done alot of rover driving and enjoyed none of it.

Too slow, noisy, draughty, expensive to run and buy, too small for my shoulders............

However, they are awesome off road.

That said, all of ours at work are to be replaced soon.
