Why are campag gruppos cheaper than shimano on some frames

You can just read reviews to come to that conclusion - not exactly glowing about the new Ultegra whereas all the Campag 11 speed stuff seems to be very well received.

Have you read the long term review from earlier this week? I'm not saying Ultegra is bad stuff anyway, just that you can easily reach the conclusion based on reviews that Athena would be a better option.
