I have been waiting for the Trek Remedy 2010 for 2 months now. I have been told that it will take another 2 months. Just as well because I really couldn't afford the £2300 price tag (this may have been a sign). I have the ride to work scheme and would like a bike from Evans. I have £1800- £2200 (at a stretch). As I am new to this all and don’t know much about specs...I was looking for some guidance. I am after a 120mm (or more) travel front forks. The bike needs to be full suspension. The 2 different kinds I looked at were Trek EX8 or Lapierre Zesty 314. Both bikes are 2010 models. I plan to cycle with endurance in mind but also plan to cycle some Austrian mountain next year. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx

The 2010 314 Zesty is a lovely looking bike. Can you also get sale bikes through the RTW scheme? If so the 2009 Scott Genius 40 looks like a great buy :)

I am off to see the Trek Ex8 tomorrow as the Zesty they dont have in stock!! Dont know how these guys make money if Christmas is around the corner and bikes are not in stock!
  • Its amazing you would think large dealers have these bikes in stock but generally never do, count yourself lucky at least you can go to Evans we only have the choice of Halfords.

I ended up getting the Ex8. It was the only one of 2 left within London stores. Yes how are they going to make money out of Christmas? Lapierre Zesty 314 are thin on the ground too...?
