I bought the 'mille' shorts, paid about £140. I'm not entirely impressed with them tbh. They are very well made and come in a fancy box with some cream for your tender areas. I find the pad is quite thick which is good for comfort at first, but once it's a little sweaty it becomes uncomfortable. I think due to it's thickness it holds onto moisture for longer. Like i say, good quality but i don't think they are worth that much.
Just my tuppence worth!

I have them both
I couldn't really choose between the two of them, though I use the Uno for shorter training rides and the milles for the 60+ milers...Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
I can't really notice the difference between my Unos and my Milles really. I generally wear whatever I grab first, unless I want to go low key for some reason (my Unos have the panel with Assos written on in big white letters).0

Honestly?
I have some Uno's and was contemplating getting a pair of the Milles as I'd heard they were cut slightly more generously, less of a racing fit. Is this not the case?0 -
Yes, slightly different cut.
Milles are aimed at the long distance training ride as opposed to racing, but I find them both very comfortable, regardless of distance.Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Ok. So the Mille's are not really worth the extra 30 or so quid? Is the material they are made of the same? Or slightly heavier fabric?0
-
Seems to be the same material to me.
I wanted to wear blue Assos shorts, instead of the club stock ones. The S5 have blue front panels, whereby the Mille are almost all blue, that's my real reason for the purchase, IIRC... :oops:Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Apart from the pad, the lycra on the Mille is of a supoerior quality - its slightly more giving, and tbh, just feels a bit nicer than the Uno.
And agreed - the pad on the Mille is slightly wider cut to allow for comfort on longer rides - that said, the S5 pad has to suit you first0 -
I've had both in the S2 and S5. Prefer the Uno in both cases.0
