i want to.... anyone know if there's any laws about pitching a tent in this country..?
i'm assuming that i can pretty much anywhere, but wondered if anyone else has experience of doing this themselves?

Pitch a tent pretty much anywhere in Scotlandshire,in England its a bit different "technically" its illegal and you need permission to pitch anywhere other than a campsite.Every bit of land is owned by someone and you need to ask permission.

If your doing that sort of ride you will be bivvying mate. We did coast 2 coast this year with little or no tarmac and I would like to do trans wales next. 30 litre bag with essentials was interesting on the downhills!0
