glad to report that the guy was ok....but his folding bike that collapsed under him as the frame broke isn't. most bizarre thing I've ever seen. I was just behind him as the frame broke (think it was the main upright post) for no apparent reason cycling up Cheapside towards St Pauls and on to Holborn. he'd not ridden over any bumps or potholes, or hit anything. he was heading up to Leicester Square and was grateful I stopped to check he was OK. It took him a moment to pick himself up off the floor, looked like just a grazed knee. not sure what sort of foldable bike it was, something like a Rush Mini? anyhow, as I said, glad he was OK and there were no cars directly behind him
