Quick question, before i buy - is this shoe compatible with this pedal, or would need the other style of spd (MTB) style pedal?

No - the shoe will only work with 2-bolt SPD type cleats so you'd need SPD pedals (unless there exists some adapter to go from SPD - SPD-SL).
That'd be a strange combination anyway - a 'leisure' shoe with a single sided road pedal.
If you're looking for something for commuting/city riding then a double sided SPD pedal and recessed SPD cleats is miles better IMO. If its for longer road rides then a proper rigid road (or mtb) shoe would be a better choice.More problems but still living....0 -
Noooooooo
Those shoes have a two bolt fixing for MTB type cleats / pedals like these

Those pedals need road shoes with a three bolt fixing like these

Either is ok, the first option is better if you need to walk anywhere. The second option is more for road / racing where you spend longer on the bike so walking is not so important.
Good luck.He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0 -
Excellent thats all i needed to know - thanks for the quick reply.
Think the shoes win, so MTB pedals it is.0
