Hi, Just started a new job and as it's so close to home thought I may as well bike it. Was put off in my last job as I would have had to get the kids up, dressed and out really early and if anything happened to them during the day I wouldn't be able to get to them for about an hour. So my new job is only a couple of miles away but was pretty pleased with myself today when I finally got out there. Had a few perplexed looks at work along with a couple of "but it's raining" comments but overall experience was great, even the hill all the way back home.A happy start to a greener, leaner me!

Attica I totally agree, I have already started pottering about on my bike and my instincts are more geared to hop on my bike rather than jump in the car. Though the biking life has become easier now that the youngest has learnt to ride.0

Well done, once you get into it you'll find you get miffed when you can't use the bike!

+1 I get very irate when I can't use the bike for more than a day or so. Well done for starting at this time of the year, just think how great it'll be in the summerpain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever.....................

Yes welcome to the world of strange beasties clad in lycra and shouting at the moon...or is that just the cyclists in DevonOfficers don't run, it's undignified and panics the men0 -
Thanks all for your support.
El Cap - Yeah I've been to Llandegla a few times now, I feel like a big kid there...especially when it's been pouring down and I get to splash through the puddles.
TRM - I happen to live on top of one of those big hills in Wrexham so can't go anywhere without a good bit of hill training.0 -
well done, theres a few on here who give it up this time of year for no other reason than its cold, wet and dark
keep up the good work and hope you get the helmet hair sorted 8)0 -
Congrats and welcome. You're in a good place0
