any mtb in jersey channel islands/

Hi,

maybe moving to jersey, anyone know what or if any mtb routes/social group rides etc? after web search seems like theres alot of road cycling and not much off road, hope i 'm wrong ! I go with OH as newbie (even managed to fall off board walk on red track this weeked if that correct term :oops: OH nearly sh_t himself as trying not to scare me off mtb.) OH much more advanced and goes out once week with a group that will try most things, and did a trail quest last week which he really enjoyed.

    We go out every sunday, early start at 7:00 am, routes are a mix of easy wood trails and technical cliff paths, there is also a winter and summer MTB season on various courses, we have just started the winter season with the first race held yesterday.

    We are due over for long weekend 8/01/10, but not definite yet ! can we join the sunday ride ? if we can hire bikes as flying.

    The 10/01/10 is Scheduled for a race day, but this is open to everyone, so you could join in. There are several places to hire bikes, but im not sure of the quality youd get :) you may be better trying one of the cycle shops and seeing if they would sort you out something maybe.
