Hi there,
I am going to persuade Mrs H to buy me a tt for Christmas. I know I won't get the state of the art for the c £130 I am looking to spend but does anyone have any reccommendations of specific features/ models or brand I should keep a look out for or avoid?
I used to use a Tacx back in the mid 90's and it was incredibly noisy. Somethng a bit quieter would be a bonus.
Sorry if this has been discussed before.
Cheers,
Dan.

I've got a Minoura V150 which I cannot fault. Don't overlook ebay for a used one. There would seem to be plenty of people who buy trainers only to decide it isn't for them.

The Satori trainer is ok. Reasonably quiet (with a turbo trainer tyre), solid and stable when out of the saddle, and with 9 levels of resistance. I can get to about level 5 or 6 then I'm dead! It also folds away, and has a reasonale sized flywheel for £150.
Tacx in general (as far as I am aware) are pretty good as well. Two other mates of mine have Tacx trainers and neither of them have had any problems."I spend my petrol money on Bikes, Beer, Pizza, and Donuts "
