Surrey Hills Summer Lightning - Closed :(

Really peed off with who ever has decided to fence off the best parts of the Summer Lighting trail.. Went riding on Sunday only to find a 6 foot chicken wire fence blocking the trails - its not clear where the path will now go, but it going to miss the best bits of the switch backs on the scrub land.

I was really tempted to get my multi tool out and re-open the path... does anyone know who has done it and why.. it seems to cut directly across a footpath

Spotted that after my post looks like they have started the fencing work early - before the alternative trail can be built. its going to be a real shame loosing that part of the trail
