tri bars on specialized sl fact road bars

looking to put tri bars on specialized fact sl carbon road bars. the factory help dept dont recommend it as the bars may crack. has anyone tried this before? thanks

Get some alloy bars. Its not worth the risk unless they are specifically designed to have tribars fitted.
(personally I wouldnt bother with carbon bars at all. Frame, wheels, Seatpost - yeah. Stem and bars, no.0 -
Thanks for advice. but the bars are definitely more comfortable than alloy itm's on crap irish roads!0

But good advice none the less.
You CANT just put tribars on carbon bars - they arent designed for it, and sudden failure could be fatal.
There are carbon bars designed for tribars out there - google is your friend.
