Apart from the obvious answer "WET"

Which is the trail that holds up best ?

Does it make the climb of Whites impossible htrough being too slippy etc ?

We're planning a trip there for Sunday, but it's not exactly looking good.

Afan in the wet is great! No problems with the ascent on the whites level!

Tends to be a lot quieter.

The rain justs makes, the post ride meal at the Drop Off more enjoyable!

weeksy59 - i was there a week ago today in torrential rain  Whites Level climb was fine, make sure you don't layer up too much because you will boil under the cover of the trees.

The north shore-type bits were fine in the wet, so i wouldn't worry about that.

Make sure you've got a decent windproof or similar for when you're up at the top exposed bits because if the wind's howling you'll feel the nip.

Oh, and take a black bag or something with you to dump all your soaked clothes + shoes in afterwards.

    Enjoy!

Well we're gonna find out tomorrow. I'm all kitted up and bike is in the car and ready to play. Mate arriving at 7am tomorrow for a rainswept monsoon and Thunderstorm Afan.

Whites and Penhydd i think will be the order of the day.

Ive been up there the past few sundays, some dry other drenched all awesome! Bit concerned about tomorrow due to the obvious weather conditions but will make whites more challenging.

What time you getting up there? Ill be there from 10.30 ish

Afan was ACE in the wet. Minimal rain until we were in eating Lasagne and then it LASHED down.

Grip in the wet was remarkable and my skill level has increased considerably since i last went to Afan. On both Goodwood and Energy i managed little bits i'd struggled on previously :) Well well happy today.

Glad you enjoyed yourself.. My day was good aswell bar my mates bike hanging off the rack on the m4. Never pulled over onto the hard shoulder faster!

Weather wasn't a factor as by the time I got there it was quite bright.. Until the darkside when the heavens opened!

As usual windypoint and darkside were great but I still can't enjoy energy because if the final section!

Did you do the black run? I stacked it a treat on the rock section
