Bike sat-nav as Christmas present!

Hello to all.
I am on the Market for bike sat-nav, and would like it to be tom-tom* like easy to use. Those in the know, could you advice what features do I have to look for, as am completely unaware of bike-specific sat-navs. I am happy to pay top dollar (upto £300*) for system which I blindly could trust, as exploring terrains gives me buzz, not saying that I set trip without planning but some kind of features of which I could upload over I-net onto device and ready to go would be nice.
