Oh what a pity, salt water as well!
Never been a great fan - saying that wouldn't say no - even with a bit of water damage.______________________________________________

The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died.

Idiot.
You'd think he'd hae at least turned the engine off as soon as he was heading for the lake.
might have been salvegable at least then.0 -
Now if James May would have been in charge... sails up, land ahoy!0

Well if any of you know anything about the veyron you would have spotted the the spoiler that only operable automatic only and still hasn't retracted which confirms he was seriously booting the arse out of it when he crashed .
There is a topgear video that shows it .. and doesn't appear untill the speed is inexcess of 170 or there abouts0 -

When Clarkson raced James May's plane he had the spoiler up the majority of the way whilst staying at legal speeds. He had to get out and turn a key in the doorwell to change the spoiler's position0 -
The spoiler pops up when you brake hard to act as an air brake doesn't it?0

And after 25years of recovering vehicles from accidents ect i can assure you that that was not doing in excess of 170mph when it left the road :roll:0 -
cant wait till he phones the missus to say "i ve taken the car to go fishing"
and by the looks of it......"literally"

as mentioned above, the spoiler is used during the regular driving speeds. it produces too much drag to reach top speed so there is a function with which it can be disabled to allow the fastest speeds0
