I'm interested in these frames but have seen only one review. I especially like the headset arrangement. Anybody got one?

Looks like a very nice piece of equipment. Buy it if you like it. You're talking about a top shelf frame, so what's not to like. I'm sort of assuming that you like the looks of the headset as opposed to liking whatever claims they make for it. I did read a little about it
on their web page and, of course, that headset is billed as the greatest thing ever or something like that. Load of crap as far as I'm concerned. I've got a steel bike with a 1
inch, 35 dollar, Cane Creek headset in it that I haven't touched in 3 or 4 years. Still smooth a silk and solid as a rock, so you'll have to excuse me if I sound a little skeptical of claims of great improvements in that area. Anyway, nice looking bike. Not to crazy, like some frame makers put out these days. Should make a fine choice. IF you're looking for a race
oriented frame(stiff, quick handling).0 -
Headset aside, if you are looking for a good quality and reliable frame suitable for most types of riding, then an Argon 18 is a good choice. I have a six year old Platinum and it's an excellent frame. Argon 18 are understated and not everyone's first choice but not to be overlooked.

Think you might have missed the point about the headset. One of the main issues with frame sizing is headtube height. With this frame the headtube is adjustable so you do not have to use loads of spacers if you are someone who needs higher bar height. Whether using loads of spacers is as big an issue as they say it is, I dont know.Pegoretti

The headtube thing seems to be a solution to a non-existent problem. Having said that, I ride an Argon 18 (Radon) and I love it. I can't think of anything about it that I'd change and would not hesitate in recommending them.0

I almost bought one a few years back but went for a Storck Scenario instead. Nice looking bikes though and they get good reviews. Good price too £1300. Check out last weeks cyling weekly review and it also got top marks in procycling last year.Brian B.0

If you're curious to get more info on the 3D Headtube -that's how the Gallium Pro's special adjustable headtube is called- you can watch this short video made by the guys of TriSports.com during Interbike:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWz-bBUz ... playnext=1
If you need to install 20mm of regular spacer on top of the headtube in order to get the proper handlebar height, you will loose some front-end stiffness or at lease you will modifie the dynamic of the frame. The idea with the 3D device is to make sure the rider really gets all the advantages offered by the frame design while getting the fit that works for him.0
