PS3 for £200 at Sainsburys

Some of you might remember my tv buying advice thread, where I mentioned buying a PS3 in the next few months. Well, just been to Sainsburys to get lunch, and they're selling the 120gb PS3 slims for £200 instead of £250. ( Also got 20% off Wiis and DSis if you're into that kind of thing)
So what are the odds of this kind of deal being repeated anytime soon? Or shall I just MTFU and 'blow my wad prematurely' (for want of a better phrase) to drag myself into the 21st century?
I assume this offer is in all Sainsburys, if not and someone else wants a bargain, the one I saw it in is in Warwick, there's a big pile of boxes all stickered up.

it doesn't come with any games and you are only saving £50, so it will work out better to wait until Xmas and pick up one of the deal on Play.com which come with games.
got mine as a deal last Xmas with 2 games, 1 movie and the remote control.
RAC 5% off code available for that too."It is not impossible, its just improbable"

Yeah, but how much? TBH, I won't have a huge amount of time to play it, so I'll get MW2, Fifa/Pro evo and maybe GT5. Not fussed about movies/remotes. I'll never get a deal with the 3 most popular games, so I'll have the hassle of getting a bundle with one game I want and a few I don't, then have to sell/trade those for more expensive/popular games.
I was going to wait for a bundle after xmas, but this offer seems too good to last!0 -
The thing with the games is that there are a lot of people who buy them on the release day, play them solid and then trade them in after literally a few days. This means there a lots of as-new games available for semi-realistic prices if you don't mind waiting a week or so. And there's rental if you're not sure about a title.0

games are expensive for the PS3, so the saving of the £50 = one game.
i don't use the PS3 for gaming that much too, but i use it everyday for TV and use it to watch movie at the weekend. the games which come with might not be good but you can always trade them in, so you can get the game you want in a "discounted" price.
but as you said, if you don't want the hassle of trading-in and stuff then go for it. its a good deal."It is not impossible, its just improbable"

Haha, I was actually thinking "What could I improve on my bike with that £200?" And I realised nothing significant!0 -
at that price i cant believe you've not got one already.
It is a muct own and to be honest when you cant go out biking nothing better than a console as backupbails87 wrote:Some of you might remember my tv buying advice thread, where I mentioned buying a PS3 in the next few months. Decent deal. GO get one...NOW!
However, once you add on the price of a game, its not much cheaper than some of the bundles in PC World, Toys R Us and Currys2014 Whyte T-129S0 -
Bought on today, sadly not from Sainsburys. Got it from Currys with FIFA10 for £249. Only 43 days until I can play with it2014 Whyte T-129S0
