... A decent aluminium road frame for under £200 new. I don't want anything that'll set the world alight, just decent. I'm more of an MTBer and I know about On-One etc, I was wondering if anyone knew of a someone similar in terms of road bikes (and yes, I have looked at Planet X). Frame is for my dad.

Have a look at Ribble? They do a few simple ally ones and even one with carbon seat stays for £170

Theseare supposed to land from the factory in the next 2 weeks. What's he going to do on it? Road is a bit of a big brush like asking for an MTB frame.

Ok, I see what you mean. He wants to train on it, and he wants something relitively fast, he is riding an old Dawes steel framed tourer that he's stripped down at the moment, but its heavy and slow.

I have a cannondale synapse, and he thinks thats the best bike in the world, so i guess something with the slightly more relaxed geometry ideally.

the ribble frames look the best at the moment, the sloping tt frames look quite good, anyone know if they are worth having. V. impressive pricing.

I picked up a 2008 Kenisis TT frame from ebay earlier this year for £50. It was bare aluminium so I had to get it painted but well worth it. Keep yours eyes open on there just incase something pops up!
