Mongoose, any good?

I'm looking for a full suspension bike for about a grand. I've been looking at Mongoose, I could stretch to either the Teocali or the Canaan.
Are they any good, they have had pretty good reviews.
Haven't heard much about Mongoose, when I was a kid you'd kill for one of their BMXs!

my first full susser was a teocali. I managed to ride everything I do now on my Enduro without any hitches. They were considered really good value back then (2005) but things have moved on a bit.
