pad change on juicy 5's

Have just done a routine change, with genuine pads, but new pads won't let the wheel spin without friction++. Seem to be binding on the disc although everything in properly (checked twice). The pistons were as far in as I could get them and the old pads came out easy enough, so what's gone wrong? It was working great until I thought I would combine sticking on a winter tyre with a pad change!

were the pistons home?
flush with the calipers? some times if the brakes have been bled there can be too much fluid in there.
is the caliper correctly aligned?
have you bedded them in yet?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The pistons were as far in as I could get them, I noticed there was a point though that if I pushed one in, the other crept out a bit.
Haven't bled them, didn't think I would need to. The caliper is straight enough and the disc isn't bent.0 -
so there is too much fluid in the system. let a bit out from the lever end."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks for that. Sort of where I had reached mentally, although still a bit puzzled why its occurred now and not before, I've changed these pads before. Anyway, I think its the LBS for me, I don't have the kit or skill to sort this.0

attach a syringe as per the bleeding info.
or just remove the bolt and try and catch the fluid when you push the pistons home."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
