What did you buy it for then?!
;-)
But yeah, the tyres are worth upgrading to some kevlar beaded versions - continental do some decent ones like the Speed King Protection which should shed you some weight.
As for contact points and comfort it can be trial and error - best to read soem reviews on saddles, grips etc.
Also remember you can tweak bar, saddle position for more comfort.0 -
I bought it for £470 which i know is a bit but i got it in 18 inch frame with mavic rims and the loveley Rockshox fork so it all seems worth thanks for advice0

Does anybody have any personal recommendations e.g. handle seat posts, peddles grips, wheel e.t.c.0

How much do you want to spend? Also need to identify what extra performance you want ie weight savings. Comfort is subjective though carbon components can reduce buzz.0

I would say about £100 and i am looking to save a bit of weight0

All i can say is change the tyres, they weigh a ton
I put panracer fires on and have saved a total of 1lb 4ozCarerra Fury 080 -
I'd stick a set of Wellgo MG1 pedals, a Charge Spoon, a cheap slightly shorter stem and a set of nevegals and a set of Lizard Skins Charge grips on it and call it good. Should be about £100 there. But really, it's a pretty damn fine bike as it is and doesn't need upgrading in a hurry. You're not going to upgrade on the wheels for £100, that's for sure, 317s are good rims. But contact points are personal taste.Uncompromising extremist0

Exotic is lighter, and cheaper...

ive changed the pedals to DMR v8's and i also have a set of SPD's fro cross country. the saddle is a charge spoon ti version (best saddle ever! :O ) grips are changed to lizardskins and ive changed a few bits like skewers and post clamp to anodized red for the bling and ill change the tyres when they wear out. apart from that its a very good bike for the money0
