Tyre size and ease of fitting

On my hybrid, I have been using 700x28 tyres. I have tried a couple of different makes (Vittoria Randonneur & Bontrager Hardcase), but both have been a very tight fit and I have suffered a couple of pinched tubes during recent repairs.

Do you think as a general rule, bigger tyres (I am thinking 700x32) are easier to fit? I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of weight/performance for ease of punture repair on the road.

Cheers.

Try Panaracer Pascela, they tended to fit easily over the rims when I had a hybrid (Spesh Crossroads). Also they are fairly cheap and good for resisting "unscheduled rapid deflations"
