If its is genuine then apologies to who sent me it and i reply.
Does any one know him on here?
from guy called Andy Spratt
this is the email:
hi. hope you dont mind me dropping you an email. saw you're a yeti fan on bikeradar and wanted to ask you a quick question.
i'm 'hoping' to buy a friends 2008 yeti asx. its in A1 condition, with the following spec:
+ FOX DHX 5.0 REAR SHOX 7" OF TRAVEL
+ MANITOU FRONT SHOX 7" PLUS LOCK OUT
+ JUICEY 3 FRONT AND REAR DISC
+ E THIRTEEN CHAIN DEVICE
+ XT FRONT MECH
+ SRAM X9 REAR MECH
+ SRAM X7 SHIFTERS
+ CARBON FIBRE BARS
+ HOPE HUBS
+ KENDA 2.5 TYRES
+ MAVIC 321 WHEEL DISCS
+ SDG SADDLE
+ TRUVANTIV CRANKS
pretty stock (i think) but my question to you is... its a medium frame, and i am 6ft 2in and 13stone. i'm really hoping you'll say 'dude, go for it, the frame is fine for you...' lol, but having ridden 19" and 20" hardtails all my life i am guessing a yeti expert like yourself will tell me what i dont want to hear. hehe. seriously tho, i love the bike but would love your honest opinion. i know every bike manufacturer is different with sizes, but i dont want to buy a lemon.
thanks for your time. i appreciate it.

Seriously dude? How does that even resemble a scam?
Thats a guy asking your opinion on whether a bike will fit him or not!0 -
Don't see any problem there to be honest.0

Just asking your opinion as you own/ride yeti's - he hasn't asked for anything, I get emails like that all the time.....0

looks genuine enough.
As Andy says, he's not asking you for any information other than if the bike will fit, not asking you to click on any links or anything like that.0 -
True true cant help it i worry to much and im tired

Jeez almighty! Either email him back saying 'yes i think you'd be fine with that frame size' or 'i do not think you would get away with that frame size' or just don't reply.0

mate, if you ask people to contact you if they need yeti advice and you include an email link at the bottom of your posts then expect people like me to use it. i only joined the forum today and found your link when i googled yeti frames (or summit, i cant remember now).
i'm not quite sure how anything i said in that email could make you think it was dodgy, let alone post it (and my name) in a forum thread.
either way, thank you for your advice. it was appreciated. just try not to be so paranoid tho!!! :twisted:0 -

Ahhh, forget about it now, water under the bridge, I'm sure he's got the message (no pun intended) now.
Welcome to the forum, hope you stick around!
