I'm a bit worried about this one  Then I said the same about Vertigo and it turned out OK. Just not sure they quite know what they're doing any more, Born on a Horse is just horrible and That Golden Rule takes their best ideas for ages then kills them at the chorus... And The Captain sounds amazing when it's live, without the horns and the 20 layers of polish, but I can't say as I like the recorded version much...

So is it any good? Do I need to book into the tattoo removal place?

I'm not sure too many hardcore fans will like it I'm afraid! I think a lot of the new album sounds like the Marmaduke Duke stuff - take from that what you will.

Oh. The first marmaduke duke album is the only album I've ever bought then listened to only once

They were pretty good on monday. Thought Manchester Orchestra were better though ;) But at their best, there's not many bands that can take them. Hundred Reasons, and Muse, possibly, and that's about it.

I like some of their stuff, but got to say The Captain sounds like it's confused, seems like random bits of 7 songs all randomly stuck together!

Them Crooked Vultures were just possibly the worst thing I've ever seen at the Reading festival, after a decade of seeing some terrible things  And we had to kill people to get into the tent to see them too. Usually I accept that music is subjective and that there's no such thing as "good" or "bad" music, but I'll make a special exception here

By the end of the evening we'd forgotten the name so we just referred to "Dave Grohl's New Fiasco". Funnily enough, everyone knew who we meant

I doubt I'll give them the opportunity. But don't worry, just playing, I thought they were mainly just dull but most people seemed to like them.
