What road shoes should i get? Budget £100. I like the look of DHB carbons, but are there any other great deals out there?

It's not about deals with shoes - it's about comfort.
Best advice is to try different pairs onExpertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

I use the Spesh carbons and like them a lot and I think the insoles are a good idea but as Chip says, these are shoes - you've got to try them on.
Have a butchers at the new Mavics - they look very good and are superlight.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
I agree with the comments so far, go and try shoes at a bigger LBS or chain if you have an Evans etc close by and then look for best price. As a general rule the Italian shoes are narrower and if you have wider feet the US brands such as Specialized can be better fit. I use Specialized but have to get the Pro rather than the S-works as the ratchet and boa designs hurt the top of my feet (high arch) - moral is go try or you will not know and long ride in ill fitting road shoes are worse than a bad saddle as you can at least stand or move your a.. about :-)0

More than almost everything you use with your bike, with shoes it's try before you buy - essential ...0

Buy the shoes that fit your feet the best. Getting a good deal is no comfort when you are 30 miles from home and your feet are killing you.....0 -
i got some 180quid mavic pro roads for 110 from evans the other week. theyre the shizzle!"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Thanks for the advice.
Always planning to try them on.
Just wondering if there are any particularly good shoes out there or anything i should avoid.0 -
Shimano & SIDI go one size bigger than your normal shoe. I have not heard of any lemons TBH. I have Shim R086 great first shoe for me although I am loooking at some SIDI for the summer.0

At £100 you're unlikely to come across a complete lemon of a shoe, and people will only recommend what they have (I have DMT's and they're superb for me).Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0
