Deore rear shifter sticking

Just after a bit of advice, please.
My Deore rear shifter is sticking occasionally towards the end of its travel. When changing down to a lower gear/bigger sprocket sometimes the shifter button will stay stuck in the position that my thumb left it. A quick smaller puch is usually enough to get it to spring back to normal position.
Any ideas as to what's up with it? I'm loathe to start taking it apart and investigating if I don't have to, as apart from this minor annoyance my gears are running perfectly at the moment and I don't want to have to re-index them.
Anyone else had this happen before? Maybe a quick squirt of GT85 inside might sort it?
Thanks!

Yep, the GT 85 trick usually works, but be careful not to drip it on your forks or discs.
They are fairly easy to take the covers off and have a look.
Also make sure the cables are smooth and clean.0 -
Nice one, I'll give that a go tomorrow when I get home. I didn't want to start spraying stuff indiscriminately inside what could be a delicate mechanism!0
