Specialized warranty

I purchased a Spesh Roubaix S Works frameset from Sigmasport in the UK last year.
After building the bike and riding for a few months I noticed some seatpost slip after rides, which I took as normal, and re-tightened the clamp(correctly torqued)in the expectation that this would solve the problem.
It didn't and over the course of time, despite more clamp tightening and application of carbon paste, the problem worsened, exacerbated during a ride by the poor road conditions over here(I live in Ireland),
Now, the seatpost collar on the frame is metal, and should have been gripping the post under pressure from the clamp, but eventually, the soft washer on the clamp bolt dished and although neither the bolt nor the bolt fitting inside the clamp was damaged, I contacted Sigma for a new clamp, hoping this might solve the problem.
From that point, I must say(and maybe because it's down to being used to poor service in this country)that particularly Sigma and also Specialized UK couldn't have been more helpful.
After explaining the problem I had to Sigma, they asked me to return the frame to them and they'd take care of the rest-this culminated in Spesh contacting me yesterday to tell me that they are going to courier out a 2010 frame as a replacement for the old one.
Now I know, from experience, that if I had bought the bike or indeed frame in Ireland, that I would have got my arse kicked if a warranty issue arose.
I got a flea in my ear only lately from a well known bike brand distributor in Dublin for buying my equipment in the UK.
I wont get into details of why there's no value in doing this, nor even any point in relying on 90 percent of LBS's in this country for either decent advice or after sales help, but I will say this-thanks to Sigma(cheers Jimmy) and Spesh UK for being helpful and up front from start to finish.

agreed - they have my custom for life after I wrecked an S-Works roubaix frame last year by fitting a 13-26 campag cassette - the chain fouls the seatstays - when I wrote to spesh UK (I also bought it from sigma but decided to email speshUK direct) they sent me a new frame to replace it.
outstanding customer service - highlighted by the recent threads on Trek not wanting to get involved with some broken madones!0
