  • Hi Miguel,

I ride out with a club from Coventry, Godiva Trail riders... we meet up every Wednesday over in Coventry and normaly ride out for about 2/3 hours...

We get together at The Shephard Pub and there is normally a turnout of about 10/20 riders.

We even have a few from Leamington Spa...

    I hope this helps...

    Hi Miguel
there are a few of us in Leamington.

We have a regular Sunday ride - anything up to 30 miles or so ( hope you like a fry-up) but you`d better be up early - LOL

Also Tuesday evening. Not so big in the winter, but quite a posse in the spring/summer.

You would be more than welcome

    Hi Miguel
there are some good loops around here, with a good mixture of stuff, XC, woodland trails etc.

What we tend to do is meet about 7:30 on the canal opposite the old Ford foundry site and the Tiller Pin pub. Then decide which direction we`re going to head off.

If it`s p1ssing down too hard we meet at the Macdonalds drive through for a quik coffee before setting off.

I`ll PM you my mobile number and give you better directions if you`re not sure where we`ll be.

Anyone else reading this, feel free to tag along. The more the merrier.

  • Hi trekhead, just enjoying a cold'un or 6 :)

That was a right laugh! One of the most slippery 30 mile XC rides we've had

That wood has evil little knobbly roots hidden under leaves that are just gagging to have you off. Our bikes easily gained 5lb with that mud too!

I bet our bud buys some mudguards in the week, lol.
  • Are you guys still riding on a tuesday?
    If so when and where?

Where do you guys go just out of curiosity? I've had an explore out of the other side, Edge Hill/Burton Dasset/Long Itchinton/Ryton Pools etc, but never explored around the Tiller Pin/Warwick end of town.

I should really come join in some time.

    Cheers

depends which way we go. We do go out Offchurch, Long Itch, Wappenbury woods, Ryton etc, but if we go the other way it can be Leek Wootton, Kenilworth (castle and `bluebell woods`), Balsall Common even Shrewley and Hatton.

Wherever really. Come and join us some Sunday.

Ah good news, I will do sometime. I think we're heading to Cannock Chase this weekend though (for a last ride around there of the year), but I'll definitely be interested in tagging along asap though. Not sure how I missed this thread. I live down in Bishops Itchington, so it'd be quite a swift ride up Harbury Lane to get to the Tiller Pin.

I've done the Offchurch -> Marton via the railway -> Stretton -> Ryton Pools -> Wappenbury, half offroad, loop a few times. There's also some interesting stuff up around Edge Hill, Burton Dassett, Windmill Hill, Centenary Way, Oakley Wood etc but it's all a bit destroyed at the moment.

I'm quite intruiged to see what else other people have found, I've not had a look the Kenilworth direction actually.

I only spotted this after booking tomorrow off work to go for a random ride, did a quick search for Leamington Spa Routes and this popped up :) I was planning to do Ryton Pools again, might go explore Kenilworth now though.

    Hi
we`re tacking onto another ride in Leamington tomorrow. Meeting at 10:00 at the park at the top of the Parade (next to the Shell petrol station).
They`re heading out towards Ryton Pools and the sorrounding area.
20 - 25 miles, should be fun, especially if the weather is as good as it is now.

Might do our regular run first.
