Hi just sold a frame to a guy in Italy, does anyone know how much it would cost? Just gone onto the parcelforce website and recieved a quote, it said £56, thats surley not right!! It went on volumetric weight not exact weight. Its only a scott addict frame, so doesnt way anything!! Anyone have any experience of sending abroard or anyone actually sent a frame to Italy who could tell me how much they actually payed?

think theyre right about the volumetric thing, when ive posted frames in this country they always measure the box, i suppose if its going abroad it will be worse as it takes up more space that could be sold to people with smaller packages hence the high price. ill give u a daft example, your frame costs £56 to ship, they might have been able to put 5 pairs of trainers in the same space as your frame at say £20 each, therefore they lose £44 hence the high price for 1 large item and another reason why i wont sell abroad!
    who cares?

    56 sounds average.

    and yes it is volume.

a mate had a £200 bike shiped from the UK to Sweden for £100.

    have fun.
