Did you do any of the other trails as well?
Dragon's back is great fun, but the shorter MBR and Tarw are more challenging.

Those "Addams Family" sections are ace though eh? :D
  • we only went down for the day, we was meant to be doing jacobs ladder in the peaks but the weather was just too bad. i want to try to make a weekend of it to do the Tarw, that looks tasty too, i heard of a lot of people that dragons is the best thow ! is this not the case then?

The Dragon is really good, and definitely one of the most fun trails there. However, it's not as technically demanding as Tarw or MBR.

Jacobs Ladder would have been a bit more XC really, so you prob had the better day tbh.

I prefererd MBR. DB was too long with too much Fireroad, which is a personal hate of mine
  • I wasn't a big fan of Dragon's back at all TBH, too many long climbs that weren't rewarded with enough good downhill singletrack.

    +1 for the Tarw

dragons back is good for a nice drawn out ride but the climbs are long and boring where as Tarw climbs is short steep and very technical in places.

  • Prefer MBR has everything in a nice space.

Tawr is ok its mostly easy with only snap crackle and pop being any real problem to riders, and thats cos a lot of non welsh boy riders aren't sued to all then there rocks

Can you re-phrase that? I didn't get the second half at all.

M8 & I did the Beast yesterday (Friday 6th) the weather was awful pi$$ed it down all through the ride, but it was suprizingly grippy even the parts of trail covered in wet fallen leaves. Good fun :D
Of course its about the bike! Although having the legs helps.
