Bike Seat for an 18 month old

Me and my wife are thinking of getting a bike seat and a helmet for the wee monkey for his Christmas. Can anyone recommend any decent kids seats we could take a look at?

Also, I have heard a bit of good press about MET helmets, is this a kid specific brand or just an all round good make for helmets?

MET are an all round helmet brand. Bobike are good seats and GMG are a good new brand coming soon.

We've got a weeride form mothercare see my other posts for my opinion but its great for what we wanted MET helmet very good and now a Islabike rothan 3 days in was gliding feet up not even 2 yet awesome!
