which bottom bracket thread type?

looking to buy groupset for a self build , not sure on frame yet depends on deal i can get but which thread type is the most popular , and is it as simple as italian frames have italian thread??

    british is most popular these days - and sadly no - not as simple as italian frame - italien thread

    well - actually it might be - but most italian brands are also taiwanese built frames - same as the rest of the world manufacturers!

    Just to confuse you a lot of the Taiwanese-built Italian-branded frames now come with BS threads - these days, only Italian-built frames typically come with Italian threads - so unless you're spending top-dollar, you'll probably have BS.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
