even I wont ride in this .... BANGING it down

  • It's lashing it down here too. Just made a dash to the shop for milk - about half a mile return trip. Soaked. That might be my ride for the day.

Perhaps it'll brighten up later .....
I should get out more (on the bike)

  • I'm glad I managed to go out for a spin yesterday afternoon. I'm not going to venture outside today - heavy rain followed by strong winds (met.office were saying gusts of up to 50mph yesterday). Yuck!

Not raining in Brizzle at the mo but you can be sure that as soon as I want to go out after F1 then the heavens will open again. Got a ride to the coast over the hills not around them.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • You set of jessies

I've just got back from a 2 hour ride. I'm soaked but happy! In some points a surfboard might have been more useful!

Heading out my way Redvee? If you need a hot cuppa before heading back, let me know.

  • not raining in bristol but just over the bridge we got like 15-20mph gales with that annoying type rain that slaps you in the face every now and again.

bit of tiling today me thinks and maybe just a turbo session

Going North not South, the coast is the severn estuary and not going to be right on the coast when I get there. Hopefully will turn into my commute so need to suss out the route and the hills.

  • it got the better of me and I went out for an hour - the wettest 12 miles I have ever ridden, was able to take a path I normally would not be able to cycle on as it would be full of walkers normally but it was ankle deep !

the electrics on the lights seem to be going bonkers now as a well

    My sentiments, too!
Just back from an extremely wet 54 miler... It's done now, so I can have a soak, then enjoy the F1.
The wife thinks I've lost the plot. I arrived back home, shot straight round the back, and stood in torrential rain, hosing down my bike ... Well, I couldn't get any wetter

I sealed the holes in my soles this morning, to help keep my tootsies warm, later to discover it also stops the rain water running out, having filled my PRO H2O overshoes from the top.

  • lived up to my pseudonym - worked 10 days straight so not up until half an hour ago but the rain woke me up early blatting on the windows

grey, sunny and howling a gale now.

Stopped raining here, but winds howling so no bike for me today either :(

I would get the turbo out if it wasn't so boring
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

I was wearing seal skins, but when you are cycling through flooded roads which are over ankle deep they made no difference

  • eccup - the footpath all the way round was ankle deep, then the road back towards adel was thigh deep for a 20 metre section, then holt lane just up from the lawnswood pub was knee deep, seriously needed to keep pedaling not fall off.

so basically, cookridge, adel, alwoodley, eccup, and back

I had planned on longer but was majorly wet by then
